review on naruto

Naruto’s legacy is simply the best series I have ever seen in terms of the story. If I had to review it all, the compliments go on for ages. But I will try to shorten it.

naruto’s story starts  with a kid who is a young ninja who bears a great power hidden inside him, a power that has isolated him from the rest of his village. naruto’s story revolves around how naruto become the Hokage – the most powerful ninja, and leader of the village.

When the series started, the pre-academy Naruto was like a hero out of the movies to me, risking his life to save this unknown girl. My feelings back then were admiration.

As it progressed, I empathized with the Jinchuriki of the Leaf. I imagined fighting, training talking, all with Naruto. My parents thought I was going bananas.

When Sasuke left, I wanted to comfort Naruto. I wanted to bring Sasuke back at all costs, back home to Team 7.

When Naruto matured into Shippuden, my feelings were excitement dampened by the loss of Sasuke. I wanted to see my heroes new strength after two years of training. I was first not connected to the Akatsuki at all, but after Jiraiya vs Pain, I understood Nagato’s motives. When it was Naruto’s turn, I saw two visions of peace collide.

During the 4th Shinobi world war, I was like an otaku in military mode myself. I ate less, and was glued to the tv screen.

Of course, Naruto series has many, many flaws…most of which I can’t remember because its been a while since I read up on it. One of my biggest pet peeves was Naruto’s powers. Seriously, apart from the unlocking of the Nine-Tails true potential, his other powers were restricted to giant Rasengans and modifications of the giant Rasengan.

His fighting style became repetitive. Also sometimes, in typical shonen style, strong villains earlier in the series just become…punching bags later on. Like Zabuza. In the beginning, he nearly beat Kakashi. Then he just became a chunin punching bag what was that all about? Also a lot of the fights were dragged on and on when some co-op could have taken shit down.

There are also too many characters present to sufficiently explore character development so some people just pop up when needed, disappear or are used as plot devices. Kind of sad.

Having seen all of the series up to the current episodes, I can say at least for myself that at its best Naruto is a deeper anime than some give credit to, and can be quite addicting. A strong focus is on its characters as they develop throughout the series and there are moments of real emotion, tragedy, intensity and even just amusement.

It’s not perfect, as there are slow times in the series (and the cartoon suffers from tricks to get as many episodes out of the original story as they can), and I won’t say everyone will end up liking it but I can say it had unexpectedly become one of my favorite anime.

Naruto ‘s IMDB rating is 8/10

There are total of 720 episodes of naruto and naruto shippuden(2nd season) which contain many filler episodes as well

Dialogues of naruto are the main strength of the show. At the end i can say that naruto is most motivational anime ever made in the history.

Naruto is definatly a must watch anime series
